FAQs

Buying / Receiving Items

Getting item(s) delivered
There are many postal services available online, however if you're looking to arrange collection of an item you're purchasing / receiving from another school and are unable to collect yourself, we recommend the use of Parcel2Go.com  to compare couriers and save. Due to the volume of parcels they send with couriers companies, they're able to negotiate better prices than end customers would be able to themselves if they dealt direct with the couriers. It's quick and simple to compare, buy and track your carriage.

Generally, we advise arranging postage (where needed) should be the responsibility of the seller if an item is being sold - if it is being gifted, then the school receiving the items should be responsible, however this is not a rule and may differe between buyer/seller.

How should I pay?
If the item isn't free, and you've agreed to pay you should pay in a way you're comfortable doing so (this may differ depending on whether you have dealt with the school before and the payment options available to you/the other school). If it's a low-cost item, and both schools are happy you may choose to meet in person and pay with petty cash. Items of a higher value, you may be better paying with a cheque, bank transfer, PayPal or exchange of goods/services. Ultimately, the decision is yours and you should do whichever works best for both partites involved.

Please be aware that School Exchange handles no payments, and can accept no responsibility for sale of faulty goods / refunds etc... however if you're in doubt about something or need some advice on how to handle anything, please get in touch and we'll be happy to help.

What if I have a problem?
If you have any problems or questions, please get in touch with us via the contact page and we'll be happy to help. Whether you have a query on the best way to pay, have suspicions of a fake account, or are having difficulty with the site we're here to help.
